On early Monday morning, one man lost his life following a wrong-way crash on Pyramid Highway at E Sky Ranch Boulevard.

The fatal incident took place shortly after 4:30 a.m. at the intersection of Sky Ranch Boulevard. NHP reported that a man was driving northbound in the southbound lanes of Pyramid Way when he crashed into another vehicle head-on. On arrival, authorities declared the wrong-way driver deceased.

The driver of the other vehicle suffered minimal injuries and medics took him to a hospital. Officials shut down Pyramid Way in both directions between Egyptian Drive and E Sky Ranch Boulevard. The identity of the deceased remains unknown at this time.

An investigation is underway.
