A suspected DUI motorcycle crash seriously injured a 51-year-old bike rider (Las Vegas, NV)

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department reported a motorcycle accident that injured a 51-year-old bike rider on Tuesday night.

As per reports, the incident took place at about 10:12 p.m. in the 3600 block of Las Vegas Boulevard North. Police said evidence at the scene showed that a 2018 Yamaha S Max was heading south on Las Vegas Boulevard in the inside travel lane. The biker did not maintain his travel lane and hit a curb height center medium.

Authorities mentioned that the Yamaha flipped over as a result of the crash, ejecting the 51-year-old driver in the process. On arrival, emergency crews rushed the victim to UMC trauma with life-threatening injuries. Officers released a statement that impairment was suspected and a DUI investigation was conducted. As of now, officials have not revealed the identity of the victim.

The incident remains under active review.
