1 Person Killed In A Pedestrian Crash In Columbus (Columbus, OH)

A tragic incident unfolded on the Far East Side, resulting in the death of a pedestrian struck by two vehicles in what police describe as a multiple-hit-skip incident. The incident occurred as the pedestrian attempted to cross East Broad Street at Richmond Woods Drive, outside of a marked crosswalk.

An unknown vehicle struck the pedestrian in the westbound lane, fleeing the scene thereafter. Subsequently, a Toyota Rav4, estimated to be a 2016-2018 model, struck the victim in the eastbound lane before also fleeing.

Despite efforts by Columbus Fire medics, the victim was pronounced dead at 1:06 a.m. The Accident Investigation Unit is currently probing the incident.
