A fatal collision with a truck kills a 26-year-old Samantha Bean-Lansman, unborn child in Phoenix (Phoenix, AZ)

A 26-year-old Samantha Bean-Lansman and her unborn child died after she did not follow a red light near Papago Park in Phoenix on Wednesday afternoon.

Police say 26-year-old Samantha Bean-Lansman was going east on McDowell Road when she disobeyed the red light and rammed into a box truck that was turning left onto 52nd Street just before 2:30 p.m. Samantha Bean-Lansman died on the spot. Furthermore, Police told that she was eight months pregnant and the unborn child also died in the sad accident.

However, the truck driver and his passenger did not receive any injuries. Police said that impairment did not play a factor in the crash. Video from Arizona’s Family news helicopter displayed a heavily damaged Nissan Altima between the box truck and a 10-wheel semi-truck. Later, Police blocked the intersection and it’s still closed as of 9 p.m.

The crash remains under review.
