Garbage truck slips on its side while turning on damp road in North Las Vegas (Las Vegas, NV)

Tuesday morning’s bad weather conditions caused a garbage truck to land on its side in the Las Vegas valley.

Officers actively responded to the scene where a Republic Services truck that had slipped onto its side on Losee Road near Lake Mead Boulevard. The incident took place at about 5:30 a.m., said Officer Alexander Cuevas with North Las Vegas Police. Officers came to know that the truck was going north on Losee and turning left on Miller Avenue. Meanwhile, it slid on the wet pavement and went on its side. However, the accident did not injure anyone. Furthermore, police believe that speed did not play a factor in the crash. Later, a couple of large trucks with cranes arrived at the scene to bring the Republic Services truck upright.

The accident is under investigation.
