According to the California Highway Patrol, a motor vehicle that took place south of Bakersfield killed a person on Tuesday.
At around 4:45 p.m., a vehicle traveling southbound on Herring Road, I-5 Highway 99, for unknown reasons lost control of the vehicle and rammed into a fence and farmland. At least one person was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The identity of the dead is not yet disclosed. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash. The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated. No further information is available at the moment.
