According to the California Highway Patrol, a motor vehicle crash in Novato killed a person on Sunday.
At approximately 7:42 a.m., a vehicle traveling southbound on Highway 101 at the Alameda Del Prado, for unknown reasons, was engulfed in flames. At least one person was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. The officials have not disclosed if there were others injured.
The identity of the dead is not yet disclosed. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash. The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated. No further information is available at the moment.
