Plano police responded to a fatal crash Friday afternoon in the Coit Road area between W. 15th Street and W. Park Boulevard. The multi-vehicle accident involved a collision between a motorcycle and a sedan, according to Plano police.
The motorcyclist was critically injured and was transported to a local hospital. Unfortunately, they succumbed to their injuries and were pronounced dead at the hospital. The identity of the victim has not been disclosed at this time.
Authorities confirmed that there were no injuries reported for anyone in the sedan. As of approximately 4 p.m., police advised drivers to seek alternate routes due to the ongoing investigation.
Plano Police’s traffic unit is currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision. There are no other details available at this time.
