The Arizona Department of Public Safety reported a multi-vehicle accident that occurred on Monday. The officials confirmed that one person died in the accident. According to the officials, the deceased victim was not identified.
Around 3 a.m., the crash happened when a motorcycle and two vehicles collided near McDonald Drive. The driver of a Jeep Patriot sideswiped a motorcyclist knocking the rider onto the ground.
The driver of a Hyundai Elantra crashed into the motorcycle as well. The motorcyclist, identified as a 55-year-old man from Phoenix, was pronounced dead at the scene. Meanwhile, the driver of the SUV was identified as a 22-year-old woman.
The authorities are still investigating the cause of the fatal crash. It is unknown whether alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision.
