The California Highway Patrol had previously reported a motor vehicle accident where a man was struck by a car and killed at the scene. The accident had taken place at Sunrise Boulevard and Folsom Boulevard on Saturday at around 10:00 p.m.
54-year-old Andres Santibanez and 52-year-old Samuel Amorado have been arrested by the detectives in connection with the crash. These two men are detained in Sacramento County Jail.
The identity of the victim has not been disclosed yet. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision. The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated. There are no further details available at the moment.
