1 Person Died In A Motor Vehicle Crash In Austin (Austin, TX)

The Austin Police Department reported a motor vehicle crash in North Austin on Thursday evening. The collision happened south of the West Braker Lane exit, at 10400 North Mopac Motorway and North Capital of Texas Highway at around 3:25 p.m.

The officials have not disclosed the number of vehicles involved in the crash nor the events leading up to it. It is not known if there were other people injured. 

According to Austin-Travis County EMS, one person was pronounced dead at the scene. The name and identity of the victim have not been made public yet.

All general purpose and express lanes are also blocked going southbound, according to the Mobility Authority TIM Centre. At Braker Lane, traffic is being detoured onto the frontage road.
