The California Highway Patrol reported a multi-vehicle accident on Thursday. The accident occurred on State Highway 4 at around 5:50 p.m.
According to the officials, a grey Toyota Highlander crashed into a Toyota Camry that had stopped for traffic. This caused the Camry to crash into the concrete centre divider and then a Gray Mazda that had also stopped for traffic.
The driver of the Camry was critically injured and rushed to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead. He was identified as 31-year-old Taylor Bustos. The occupants of the Highlander suffered minor injuries. The driver of the Mazda was uninjured.
The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated at this time. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision. There are no other details available at this time.
