According to the California Highway Patrol, a motor vehicle accident occurred in Los Angeles on Thursday. The crash happened in the 1300 block of Whittier Boulevard at around 4:15 a.m. 

According to the investigators, an unknown vehicle and a 33-year-old were involved in the collision. The driver of the unknown vehicle traveling at a high speed crashed in a Whittier parking lot. 

A 33-year-old Guillermo Avelino Avila was identified as the unknown driver who suffered significant injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. 

According to the reports, it is unclear what caused the crash and if drugs or alcohol were a factor involved. No additional information regarding the fatal crash was provided by the Deputies.
