According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, a multi-vehicle accident occurred in Nacogdoches County on Wednesday. The crash happened in the 2800 block of NE Stallings at around 7:30 p.m.
According to the investigators, a Jeep Patriot, a Jeep Grand Cherokee, and a Ford F-150 were involved in the collision. The driver of the Ford failed to slow down and hit the back of the Grand Cherokee. The officials stated that the driver of the Grand Cherokee then struck the back of the Jeep Patriot.
69-year-old Griceldo Garcia was identified as the driver of the Cherokee who suffered significant injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the accident. No additional information regarding the fatal crash was provided by the Deputies.
