According to the California Highway Patrol, a motor vehicle accident occurred in Los Angeles on Saturday.
The crash happened on the westbound Santa Monica Freeway at around 1:41 a.m.
According to the investigators, an unknown vehicle and an unknown woman were involved in the collision. The officials stated that the driver slammed into a freeway guardrail before driving off the freeway into an embankment.
A 15-year-old Heidy De Haro was identified as the unknown woman who suffered significant injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The officials have not reported any further details regarding the vehicle involved in the accident.
No additional information regarding the fatal crash was provided by the Los Angeles Police Department.
