Authorities from the Louisiana State Police were dispatched to a single-vehicle crash on
Sunday. Upon their arrival, witnesses informed the troopers that the driver involved in the crash ran across a pasture into a homeowner’s driveway. Troopers on the scene discovered the homeowner holding the driver, Louis J. Greenberg at gunpoint.
Preliminary investigations into the incident concluded that the initial crash reported was due to Greeneurg leaving the roadway and overturning the vehicle. Greenberg was suspected to have been impaired as the authorities located multiple bags of methamphetamine and Buprenorphine Hydrochloride and a bag of marijuana.
Greenberg was arrested and charged with Possession of Controlled Dangerous Substances, Driving Under Suspension DWI, Failure to Report an Accident, and other offences.
