47-Year-Old Bicyclist Killed In A Motor-Vehicle Accident In Auburn Hills (Auburn Hills, MI)

The Auburn Hills Police Department reported a multi-vehicle accident on Monday. 

The accident occurred on Opdyke Road near Hempstead Road at about 7.35 p.m. 

A 25-year-old woman was driving a Jeep Wrangler north on Opdyke when she struck a bicyclist heading in the same direction. 

The bicyclist was unresponsive to medical aid and was immediately taken to a local hospital. Officials report that he later succumbed to his injuries. 

The driver of the Jeep was not injured in the collision and immediately stopped. She is being cooperative with the investigation. 

There is no other information disclosed about the victim. 

The cause of the fatal accident is still being investigated. 

The officials have confirmed that alcohol or drugs were not a factor in the crash.
