According to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, a fatal crash was reported in Monroe County, on Wednesday morning.
Officials confirmed that a 53-year-old person died due to the accident.
Authorities stated that the crash occurred near the Vulcan Materials Quarry on Highway 87.
The deceased person was identified as Michael Frank Adams of Gray.
Michael Frank Adams left the road while driving, over corrected and hit a tree on the opposite side of the road.
He was declared dead at the scene of the crash.
It is unclear as to what contributed to the accident.
Investigation of the crash is under progress.
