According to the officials, a motor vehicle accident was reported on Wednesday morning.
The officials reported that a 17-year-old Littlefield Independent School pupil, Malachi Frausto was killed in a crash that happened about three miles east of Littlefield on FM 54.
The Department of Public Safety stated that Frausto was heading west on FM 54 in his Silverado when a semi was traveling eastbound on FM 54 was approaching.
In an attempt to avoid collision Frausto drifted and struck the rear wheel of the semi.
Officials revealed that the driver of the semi was not injured in the crash.
No additional information regarding the fatal crash was provided by the officials.
