Cass County officials responded to a two-vehicle crash on Union Road, south of US-12 in Porter Township, on Friday at 2:30 p.m.
According to the investigators, 45-year-old Crystal Price had an undisclosed medical emergency that caused her van to veer off the roadway and jump a curb. The van continued onto Union Road and collided with a box truck driven by 56-year-old Kwabena Marfo.
Emergency personnel extricated Price and her two passengers from the vehicle, according to Cass County Sheriff Richard J. Behnke. The passengers were identified as 25-year-old Annamae Davis and 46-year-old Denise McCall.
Price was flown to South Bend Memorial Hospital. Davis and McCall were taken to Elkhart General Hospital by ambulance.
The crash is being investigated.
