Georgia State Patrol troopers responded to a motor vehicle accident in Downtown Atlanta that injured six people.
According to the troopers, a stolen silver Ford with a Florida tag was spotted in the emergency lane. When the troopers attempted to stop the vehicle, it made a U-turn in the tunnel.
The driver drove the wrong way along I-20 and crashed into a Silver Chevrolet. The Ford overturned into its side and a black Volkswagen.
Two occupants in the Volkswagen were taken to the hospital for injuries. The other four occupants in the Chevrolet were also taken to the hospital. All six are expected to survive.
The Ford driver fled the scene after the collision. Traffic was backed up across the lanes of I-20. All lanes have since been reopened.
The crash is under investigation.
