On Tuesday afternoon, officials responded to a motor vehicle crash involving a car and a DeKalb County school bus. The crash happened around 3:45 p.m near the intersection of Snapfinger road and Pleasant Wood Drive.
Officers located a sedan wedged under the side of a school bus. The car driver was extricated safely and was taken to the area hospital for minor injuries.
The school bus driver and the 21 students ranging in age from kindergarten to second grade were not injured in the crash.
A tow truck was used to pull the car from under the bus. Traffic backed up in the area for two hours.
No further details regarding the crash are currently available. The crash remains under investigation.
