1 Person Dead In A Motor Vehicle Accident In Wheeler County (Wheeler County, TX)

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, a motor vehicle accident occurred in Wheeler County. 

The officials stated that a semi-trailer was traveling westbound on Interstate 40. The semi traveled across the center median after failing to stay in the lane. The semi struck a 2008 Toyota Tundra pickup truck on the driver’s side. 

The Tundra was towing a box trailer at the time of the crash. 

The officials reported that the pickup driver, Steven Little, 60, of California was pronounced dead by Wheeler County Justice of the Peach Rick Walden. 

The driver and passenger of the semi were identified as 35-year-old Mohamed Abdi and 35-year-old Mubashar Ibraahim, both of Portland Oregon were taken to Shamrock General Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. 

The Texas Highway Patrol Troopers are investigating the fatal crash
