The California police responded to a car crash that killed four people and injured six. The crash occurred on Wednesday night on Highway 12 near Rio Vista. Officials confirmed the usage of alcohol to be the cause of the crash.
A 2003 Honda Accord Sedan collided with a 2015 Chevrolet while travelling westbound, drifted off the roadway to the right, and entered eastbound Highway 12.
During the collision, the driver and passenger were thrown from the vehicle. The passengers of the Honda Sedan died at the scene. The driver was a 20-year-old, and the other passenger was a 19-year-old Vacaville woman. The identity of the third passenger was not identified.
Besides Laura Poiret, a woman in her 70s, an 8-year-old girl and a teenage girl suffered injuries in the crash. The six passengers of Suburban were transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
