On Thursday night, one person suffered serious injuries following a rollover crash in Shasta County.
As per the initial information, the traffic collision took place at about 10:45 p.m. on Highway 36 between Platina and Wildwood. This is approximately 35 miles west of Red Bluff. The early reports showed that the driver of the vehicle that rolled on its side was flown to a hospital with major injuries.
The highway was fully blocked while a helicopter landed to airlift the driver to the hospital. The highway was reduced to one-way traffic control while crews worked at the scene. There was no sign that the driver was under the influence at the time of the accident. No further details were provided.
