Three people suffered injuries following a traffic collision in south Shreveport.
As per the initial information, the two-vehicle crash happened a little before 7:45 p.m. in the 7912 block of St. Vincent Ave in Cedar Grove. The early reports showed that a white pickup truck traveling south on St. Vincent slammed into a silver SUV, crumpling in the back half of the vehicle.
The SUV had major damage as a result of the accident. On arrival, two adult occupants and a child in the SUV were transported to the hospital with non-fatal injuries. According to the authorities, the two occupants were buckled and the child was restrained in a car seat at the time of the collision.
The driver of the truck was interviewed by the officers to find out if DUI was a factor. Samples were sent for toxicology testing, as is the procedure. All traffic lanes were shut down on St. Vincent Ave. between W. 79th St. and W. 80th St. to give way to the investigation. One lane has since reopened. No other details are made available.
The crash remains under review.
