52-year-old man dead after an auto-pedestrian collision on I-5 in Mount Vernon (Mount Vernon, WA)

On Wednesday, a 52-year-old man, from Oak Harbor, lost his life after getting hit by a vehicle in Mount Vernon.

As per the initial information, the fatal auto-pedestrian crash took place on Interstate 5, near mile post 226. The early reports showed that a 52-year-old man was walking on Interstate 5 when a southbound vehicle struck him.

The man suffered major injuries and was declared dead at the scene by the officials. The identity of the deceased will be revealed once the next of kin is notified. No other details have been provided by the authorities.

The incident remains under investigation.
