Motorcyclist dead after a hit-and-run collision in Seattle (Seattle, WA)

A 47-year-old motorcycle rider was killed after being struck by a vehicle Monday in Seattle.

As per the initial information, the fatal hit-and-run crash took place at around 1:30 a.m. on Aurora Avenue. The preliminary reports showed that a black southbound Dodge Charger turned in front of the motorcycle, resulting in the collision.

The Dodge driver left the scene after the wreck. On arrival, emergency crews performed lifesaving measures on the victim, but the motorcyclist died at the scene. The authorities later found the Charger, but did not find the driver. No other details are available.

The incident remains under active review.
