On Saturday evening, two people suffered injuries following a traffic collision near Holland.
As per the initial information, the two-vehicle crash took place at 7:37 p.m. on Adams Street at 104th Avenue in Holland Township. The early reports showed that a 2018 Jeep Compass, driven by a 22-year-old Grand Rapids man, was traveling westbound on Adams Street when it slammed into a Subaru, driven by a 35-year-old woman from Dorr.
The Jeep reportedly ignored multiple red traffic signals before crashing into the Subaru. The driver of the Jeep Compass incurred only minor injuries as a result of the collision. The Subaru driver received serious, non-life-threatening injuries and was rushed to the hospital for treatment.
A 7-month-old child in the driver’s car remained unharmed in the accident. Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office and Holland Township Fire provided assistance at the scene. No additional information has been provided.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
