One person was hospitalized following a semi-truck crash in Plano.
As per the initial information, the single-vehicle wreck took place at about 7:30 p.m. on southbound 75 just before the President George Bush Turnpike. The early reports showed that a flatbed 18-wheeler was transporting a large square drainage pipe used for highway work.
The accident resulted in a diesel spill from the truck. A hazardous materials team was requested to help clean up the mess. On arrival, paramedics transported the driver of the truck to Medical Center of Plano with minimal injuries.
Southbound 75 at President George Bush Turnpike was blocked for an unknown amount of time as crews work to clean up the fuel spill and get the truck dragged away. No other details are immediately available.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
