Authorities identified 44-year-old Xiong Lee, from Fresno, 52-year-old Malisa Moua, of Merced, 36-year-old Pa Vue, from Fresno, and 45-year-old Mary Lee, of Fresno, as the victims who lost their lives following a crash Monday in Monterey County that also caused injuries to 43-year-old Thomas Boots of Hughson.
The fatal two-vehicle accident took place before 6:20 a.m. in the area of Jolon Road and Mission Road. The crews actively responded to the scene and, on arrival, pulled Mary Lee from her car and immediately took her to an area hospital where she died of her injuries.
Lee’s passengers; Xiong Lee, Malisa Moua, and Pa Vue died at the scene. The other vehicle’s driver, identified as Thomas Boots, was removed from the vehicle before he was flown to a local hospital for treatment. According to the authorities, everyone involved in the wreck was buckled up during the crash. No other details are available.
An investigation is ongoing.
