Bicyclist hospitalized after a hit-and-run crash in Long Beach (Long Beach, CA)

A man received injuries after a bicycle accident Wednesday afternoon in Long Beach’s California Heights neighborhood.

As per the initial information, the hit-and-run crash took place just after 2:30 p.m. in the 1100 block of East Wardlow Road, a few blocks west of Reservoir Park. According to the authorities, the man was riding his bicycle when a vehicle struck the cyclist and left the area.

The bicyclist, only identified as a male adult, sustained injuries to the upper body and was taken to a local hospital by Long Beach Fire personnel. He is currently in stable condition. No details are available regarding the suspect or the hit-and-run vehicle.

The incident remains under active review.
