19-year-old girl killed, 18-year-old boy in critical condition after a crash near Springfield (Springfield, TN)

On Saturday night, a 19-year-old girl lost her life while another teen suffered critical injuries following a crash in Springfield.

As per the initial information, the fatal traffic collision took place on Owens Chapel Rd at the Roy Cole Rd Baggett Rd intersection a little before 11 pm. According to the responders, there were two people in the vehicle, including a 19-year-old girl and an 18-year-old male.

The girl suffered major injuries and was declared dead at the scene by the officials. The boy was rushed to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville with critical injuries. Owens Chapel Rd was shut down for multiple hours as crews worked at the scene during Saturday night’s thunderstorm. Multiple agencies responded to the scene. No other details are available.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
