A woman lost her life and a man was hospitalized following a traffic collision Friday morning near Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport.
As per the initial information, the two-vehicle accident took place near 16th Street and Riverview Drive. The early reports showed that a sedan and a van were involved in the crash. One woman succumbed to her injuries at the scene, and a man was taken to a hospital as a precaution.
16th Street was blocked between University and Elwood Drive while crews worked at the scene. The circumstances surrounding the crash remain unclear. The identities of the victims have not been released. No further details are available.
