One person died while another suffered injuries following a fiery crash in West Covina on the 10 Freeway overnight.
As per the initial information, the two-vehicle collision took place on the eastbound lanes of the freeway west of Azusa Avenue after midnight. The early reports showed that one of the involved vehicles caught fire due to the crash. On arrival, responders found one person pinned inside the second vehicle.
One person suffered major injuries and was declared dead at the scene by the officials. The second person was extricated from the wreckage and transported to a hospital with unspecified injuries. The eastbound lanes were shut down for several hours as crews worked at the scene. No other details are made available.
