1 person hospitalized after a multi-vehicle pile-up in Santa Barbara (Santa Barbara, CA)

One person was hurt following a multi-vehicle wreck Friday evening in Santa Barbara.

As per the initial information, the five-vehicle pile-up took place on Highway 101 near the southbound Milpas St. offramp. Authorities actively responded to the scene after getting reports of a crash before 5:00 p.m. On arrival, the first responders transported one person to a hospital with minimal injuries.

The left lane of Highway 101 was shut down during the investigation and cleanup. The events that have led up to the accident remain unknown at this time. No other details have been provided.

The wreck remains under review.
