24-year-old Lamonte Martin died after a two-vehicle accident in Tyler (Tyler, TX)

Authorities identified 24-year-old Lamonte Martin as the victim who was killed following a two-vehicle accident Wednesday in Tyler.

As per the initial information, the authorities actively responded to the 1000 block of W. Grande Blvd. close to Hollytree Drive at about 10 p.m. on reports of a car crash. The early reports showed that the Toyota RAV4 was heading eastbound when it collided with the passenger side rear bumper of a Ford F150 that was making a left turn.

Due to the impact, the RAV4 rolled, throwing 24-year-old Lamonte Martin, of Tyler, from the vehicle. Martin was pronounced dead at the scene. The two people in the pickup remained unharmed in the accident.

All east and west bound traffic was closed down while crews worked at the scene. Traffic was rerouted around the scene. All lanes of Tyler’s busy West Grande Boulevard reopened to traffic early Thursday. No other details are available.

An investigation is ongoing.
