On Monday, one person was killed following a multi-vehicle wreck on a highway just outside of Phoenix.
As per the initial information, the fatal three-vehicle pile-up took place at approximately 4:30 AM on US 93, north of Wickenburg. The early reports showed that two commercial vehicles and a pickup truck were involved in the accident that took the life of one person. The accident happened in north bound lanes, but the incident led to the closure of traffic in both directions.
Traffic closures are expected to last for multiple hours. The identity of the deceased will be revealed once the next of the kin is notified. The events that have led up to the crash remain unclear at this time. No other information has been provided.
An investigation is ongoing.
