1 person injured after a four-vehicle pile-up on Highway 99 (Chico, CA)

On Thursday afternoon, one person suffered injuries following a multi-vehicle accident on Highway 99.

As per the initial information, the four-vehicle pile-up took place at about 3:52 p.m. on the East 20th Street off-ramp on Highway 99. The preliminary investigation indicated that the traffic slowed down on the fast lane when a pickup slammed into a Sedan. Due to the impact, the pickup truck crashed into another pickup.

The force of the collision caused the Sedan to smash into a third pickup truck. According to the responders, the Sedan driver was the only one person who received injuries in the accident. No other details are immediately available.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
