On Thursday, two people were hurt following a flatbed truck crash on Interstate 80.
As per the initial information, the traffic collision took place a little before 7 a.m. on I-80 west near Sparks Boulevard. The preliminary investigation showed that a driver and a passenger were pinned inside the truck due to the accident.
Officials shut down a part of the interstate as the emergency responders had to cut the flatbed truck to extricate the pinned occupants from the vehicle. The events that have led up to the accident remain unknown at this time. No further details were provided.
An investigation is ongoing.
