On Tuesday night, one person was killed after possibly being hit by a vehicle in Elk Grove.
As per the initial information, the fatal hit-and-run crash took place at approximately 8:30 p.m. on Elk Grove Boulevard and Shorelake Drive. According to the officials, multiple callers reported the incident with a person down on the road. On arrival, responders found the person dead from injuries consistent with being struck by a vehicle.
Authorities closed both directions of Elk Grove Boulevard between Four Winds and East Taron as crews worked at the scene. The identity of the deceased will be revealed once the next of kin is notified. No other details are immediately available.
