12-year-old boy and 8-year-old girl hospitalized after a vehicle hits a bicycle in Sylmar (Los Angeles, CA)

A 12-year-old boy and 8-year-old girl received injuries following a two-vehicle accident Sunday afternoon in Sylmar.

As per the initial information, the bicycle crash took place at around 4:30 p.m. in the 13300 block of West Bombay Street. According to the authorities, the two kids were rushed to the hospital in at least serious condition.

The two children, a 12-year-old boy and his 8-year-old sister, were riding on the same bicycle when they were struck. At about 6 p.m., they were listed in stable condition. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigators. No criminal charges were filed. No other information is available.

The cause of the crash remains under review.
