Officials identified 84-year-old Erna Egli who died after an auto-pedestrian crash in San Francisco (San Francisco, CA)

Authorities identified 84-year-old Erna Egli as the woman who lost her life after being struck by a vehicle on March 10 in San Francisco’s Marina District.

The fatal auto-pedestrian crash took place near Fillmore Street and Chestnut Street in San Francisco. According to the investigation reports, Erna Egli was hit by a vehicle as she walked near Fillmore and Chestnut streets.

On arrival, medical personnel rushed her to a hospital in critical condition. Officials stated that she died of her injuries on March 17. It is unknown if the vehicle that hit her stayed at the scene or not after the collision. No other details are made available.

The incident remains under investigation.
