Two people received injuries following a wreck Monday morning in the Rancho San Diego area.
As per the initial information, the three-vehicle accident took place at about 9:25 a.m. on Willow Glen Drive. The early reports showed that a black Kia drove over the double yellow lines and collided with a white Toyota Camry head-on.
The 41-year-old driver of the Kia then swerved back into the westbound traffic lanes where it struck a gold Honda Accord. The 45-year-old driver of the Camry and the driver of the Kia were both transported to Sharp Memorial Hospital with moderate injuries.
The driver of the Honda Accord, a 62-year-old Chula Vista man, remained unharmed in the accident. All the people involved were buckled up at the time of the crash. It is unknown why the driver veered into the eastbound lanes of traffic. No other details are available.
The wreck remains under review.
