38-year-old Michael Turner killed after his vehicle crashes into a tree in Selah (Selah, WA)

On Friday morning, 38-year-old Michael Turner lost his life after his vehicle slammed into a tree in Selah.

As per the initial information, officers actively responded to the area of 1500 block of North Wenas a little after 2:30 a.m. after getting reports of a single-vehicle crash. The early reports showed that 38-year-old Michael Turner was traveling at a high rate of speed when he failed to maintain control of the vehicle. Just then, the passenger side of his vehicle hit a tree.

Despite all life-saving measures, Turner succumbed to his injuries at the scene. He was not buckled up at the time of the collision. Speed and intoxicants might have contributed to the accident. No other details are immediately available.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
