Three people received injuries following a wreck Tuesday in Goodyear.

As per the initial information, the three-vehicle pile-up took place near the intersection of Centerra Drive and Jefferson Street at about 9 p.m. Tuesday. A truck came to a rest in a backyard pool while another vehicle rolled over following the accident.

One of the vehicles ended up in a backyard pool, another rolled on its side and the third vehicle had a woman trapped inside. The woman had to be removed from the driver’s seat and was rushed to the hospital with significant, but non-life-threatening leg injuries.

The other two motorists were also transported to the hospital with non-fatal injuries. The driver of the pick-up truck in the pool, identified as 31-year-old Victoria Knox of El Rito, New Mexico was booked into jail for aggravated assault. Additional charges are likely and a DUI charge is pending lab results. No other information is available.
