On Sunday, 22-year-old Eric Hamilton Jr, of Fontana, lost his life following a motor vehicle accident on Interstate 215.
As per the initial information, officers actively responded to the area Interstate 215 near Ninth Street after getting reports of a traffic collision. Eric Hamilton Jr died of his injuries at the scene at about 4:14 a.m.
The events that have led up to the accident remain unknown at this time. It is also unclear how many vehicles were involved in the crash. There is no word if anyone else was injured in the accident. No additional information has been provided at this time.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
