Traffic was impacted after a motor vehicle accident Wednesday on Tucson’s south side.

As per the initial information, the traffic collision took place near Valencia Road and Casino Del Sol. The events that have led up to the accident remain unknown at this time. It is also unclear if anyone was hurt or hospitalized following the crash.

According to Pima County sheriff’s deputies, west and eastbound lanes on Valencia Road were closed between Camino Verde and Ignacio M Baumea while crews worked at the scene. Drivers were asked to avoid the area.  No other details are available.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
