Vehicle runs through windows of Lakewood restaurant, driver sought (Lakewood, WA)

On early Monday morning, a vehicle smashed into a Lakewood restaurant while the driver left the scene after the collision.

As per the initial information, the hit-and-run crash was reported at about 2:45 a.m. in the 10200 block of South Tacoma Way. The early reports revealed that a vehicle plowed into the Sizzler restaurant and car’s back wheels and trunk were hanging out a window facing the parking lot. Officers reported the accident a little before 3:50 a.m.

There was no one in the restaurant when the collision happened. Reports revealed that the restaurant was closed Monday while crews worked through it. When officers arrived, the car was found empty. Eyewitnesses informed the responders that they saw the car’s occupants walking away from the crashed car. No other details are available.

The incident remains under active review.
