53-year-old Rodney Myrick dead after his truck slams into a tree on Highway 79 (Haywood County, TN)

On Thursday night, 53-year-old Rodney Myrick, of Jackson, lost his life after his vehicle crashed into a tree on Highway 79.

As per the initial information, the fatal single-vehicle accident took place at about 8:30 p.m. on Highway 79. The preliminary investigation indicated that Rodney Myrick was driving his Ford F150 southbound on Highway 79. According to the officials, Myrick was traveling from Brownsville, TN towards Bell, TN.

While driving, Myrick’s truck smashed into a downed tree on the highway. Myrick died of his injuries after the accident. His truck came to a stop in a ditch. He was buckled up at the time of the collision. No other details are immediately available.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
